A FEW DAM GOOD LAKES

Our next trip is just a quick jaunt for a few days, taking in some of the great lakes and dams near Brisbane. Our drive takes us over Mt Glorious (quite a climb for Aussie Roamer) to our first camp spot at the Logan Hill campsite on Wivenhoe Dam. What luxury. Each site has its own area and barbecue. There are even hot showers! We continue past more lakes, stopping at Lake Cressbrook. Yet another gorgeous camp spot. The next day we do the walks in Crows Nest National Park. Despite all the rain we have had lately the waterfall is very thin, and the bush very dry.

Our drive takes us on to Broadwater National Park just out of Dalby to another pretty spot with lots of bird life. Finally it is time to start heading home, passing acres and acres of cropped cotton fields. Our last overnight spot is at Yarramalong Weir near Milmeran.
