From our campspot - view of Haines (you can tell we had great weather today!)

Out in the boat we watched the Sockeye Salmon spawning - they were silver, but are now red with green heads. Sadly no Grizzly Bears are hungry.

But the eagles are hungry - this fish was still flapping - sushi

  2. Dear John and Lynda, We spotted the GR2 traveling in a Seattle neighbourhood yesterday; perhaps you were visiting the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. It would've been lovely to have met you both just to say hello. What a wonderful journey you two are sharing to see the world together and experiencing all the various cultures and people around. Wishing you both many more exciting adventures! ~ Cindy & Michael

    1. Lovely to hear from you. John was taking GR2 to Suremarine to get our diesel appliances serviced. Then he will head back to Mission to put GR2 into storage. I have just updated the blog....Lynda

  3. Saw you heading north on Highway 539 just an hour ago. I gave you the peace sign as I was passing. Awesome rig! I look forward to reading through your blog to learn more about it.

    Cheers, and safe travels

  4. Hey Lynda and John
It was so nice to meeting you and thanks for the helpful tips (insurances and this stuff) Our BBQ in Ketchikan was great, thank you again for the lovely fish (was a bit little, I guess 32’ ;) We’re now in Castlegar, we did a lot of miles since Prince Rupert, there are many bushfires up there (between Burns Lake and 100 Mile House). The weather is always hot and sunny and more crowded in b.c.! We hope to see you again and send you a lot of greetings. The Swiss friends Denise & Marcel

  5. Saw your rig at the ferry in Ketchikan. We were part of a small team from Seattle helping churches on Prince of Wales Island with some construction projects. Got back and found your blogs. Amazing adventures. Thanks for sharing.
