DUSTY DAYS IN NEPAL

What a view to start the day

Checking out the bridges beside our campspot

So much road has slipped away

Exploring a suspension bridge

Crazy dust and crazy traffic

Nearly back in Pokhara

Kev's school in Pokhara

And his old home - much improved

Heading off in our Ultralights

Up into the mountains

Annapurna

Fish Tail

Looking down on the Hindu monument

And the World Peace Pagoda

And Lake Phewa

On our way back to Kathmandu

Bhaktapur - Durbar Square

People watching

Love the serpent waterspout - he is swallowing a goat

I fancy one of these at home

So many temples

Momo's anyone!!

Into Taumadhi Square

The chariot makes a great playground

Back at Durbar Square - the Golden Gate

On to Potters Square

The kilns are working

Finally to Dattatraya Square

We head to Bodhnath/Boudha and explore

The huge stupa

Entry gate

Trying out the huge prayer wheel

Women at one of the many monasteries

From our taxi we spy this guy carrying a fridge  Who needs a truck!

On to Swayambhu Stupa and all the shops

Another golden temple

There are monkeys everywhere

More people watching

Palace gates - its closed yet again

On our way to Banepa

To visit the school

Mueller college girls painted this mural

Us at the school

Heading into the mountains to the Chinese border

Golly we have to share the road!

And its such a narrow road

Here we are at the Friendship Bridge. China is on the right side of the river

Heading back

Pity about the dust haze... the hills are amazing

Heading back to Kathmandu.... the road is always a work in progress

At last the Palace is open

Visiting the tourist area of Thamel
